Depth Map · Privacy Field

Drift through the field quietly

Privacy on SocialSonar is treated like the deep ocean: quiet, unwatched, free of trackers, and uninterested in your identity. The tiles below describe, in plain language, what the platform never collects, how the few unavoidable technical signals are handled, and why the surface remains tracker-free.

Posture Toward Visitors

SocialSonar treats the visitor the way a deep-sea biologist treats a passing organism — with curiosity, distance, and absolutely no urge to tag, weigh, or catalog. The field is built on the principle that an interface does not need to know who you are in order to behave well. As a consequence, the entire privacy approach starts from a single rule: collect nothing that the surface does not strictly need to render itself.

What Is Never Collected

SocialSonar does not collect names, email addresses, postal addresses, phone numbers, payment information, identity documents, geolocation traces, contact lists, social graphs, or any other personal identifier from visitors drifting through the field. There is no login flow, no contact form, no checkout, no quiz, no newsletter capture, and no popup asking for an address. None of the standard collection surfaces exist on this platform, which means none of the standard collected data exists either.

  • No name field anywhere on the surface
  • No email capture, no newsletter signup
  • No phone or address collection
  • No payment or billing intake
  • No identity verification, no document upload
  • No social account linking

Transient Technical Signals

Like any web surface, the rendering of SocialSonar produces short-lived technical signals on the server side. These signals are used to deliver the requested layer and are not retained for profiling, advertising, or modeling. Where logs exist for the purpose of basic infrastructure operation, they are kept only as long as required to keep the platform running and to investigate technical issues, and they are not joined with any other dataset.

  • Request timestamp
  • Generic device class (mobile, tablet, desktop)
  • Browser family and version range
  • Layer or page requested
  • Response status code

Cookies And Local Storage

SocialSonar does not place analytics cookies, advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or marketing-purpose local storage. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to; the absence of trackers makes the banner unnecessary. The only storage that may appear is the minimal browser state an embedded experience needs to remember a single in-session state, such as a paused position or a chosen difficulty, and that state is local to the visitor's own browser and is not transmitted back.

Embedded Experiences

Embedded experiences are loaded inside the SocialSonar surface and not from external promotional sources. They are framed pieces of interactive content, not third-party widgets in disguise. Where an embedded experience would otherwise produce its own telemetry, that telemetry is either disabled or scoped to the visitor's local browser. SocialSonar does not receive a feed of player behavior from any embedded experience, and no embedded experience receives any visitor identifier from SocialSonar.

Third Parties And Sharing

SocialSonar does not share data with marketing platforms, advertising networks, retargeting providers, analytics vendors, data brokers, or affiliate programs. The platform has no business model that depends on visitor data, and as a consequence there is no commercial pressure to share or sell. The only third parties involved at all are infrastructure providers used to host the surface and deliver the static files, and those providers see only the same transient technical signals described above.

Children And Age

SocialSonar is intended for visitors aged nineteen years or older. The atmosphere, vocabulary, and embedded experiences are designed for an adult audience comfortable with quiet, minimal, ambient interfaces. The field is not marketed toward children, not themed around childhood imagery, and not optimized for the attention patterns of younger visitors. Parents and guardians are encouraged to apply their own household browsing controls if a younger visitor accesses the surface unintentionally.

Communication Beacon

The plain-text email address published on the contact page is a passive beacon. When a visitor chooses to send a message to that address, the contents of that message become correspondence between the visitor and the recipient mailbox and are stored only inside that mailbox. SocialSonar does not import beacon messages into any database, does not run sentiment analysis on them, and does not use them to construct visitor profiles. Visitors are encouraged to send only the minimum information necessary to express the question they want answered.

Security Posture

Because SocialSonar collects so little, the surface area available for a privacy incident is correspondingly small. The platform is delivered over encrypted transport, static assets are served from infrastructure providers that maintain their own security baselines, and no internal database of personal information exists for an attacker to reach. The best protection is the absence of data, and that is the protection SocialSonar relies on.

Retention And Deletion

Since no personal records exist, there is nothing for the platform to retain on a visitor's behalf and nothing for the platform to delete on request. Transient technical logs that may exist for infrastructure purposes are rotated on a short cycle consistent with industry practice for static surfaces. A visitor who wishes to ensure that any browser-side storage created by an embedded experience is removed can clear their browser storage for the SocialSonar address at any time using their normal browser controls.

Jurisdiction And Rights

Privacy regulations vary across jurisdictions. Where a visitor's local regulation grants rights of access, correction, deletion, or objection to processing, those rights are honored on the trivial basis that there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete. Visitors who still wish to formally confirm this position may write to the contact beacon, and a brief written acknowledgement will be returned where time permits.

Updates To This Page

If the privacy posture of SocialSonar changes — for example, if a new layer of the field introduces a feature that requires any collection — the depth map on this page will be updated in plain language before that feature is activated. There is no scheduled communication channel for privacy alerts. Visitors who care about the wording of this page are encouraged to revisit it periodically rather than to expect a notification.
